Event: Sip and Tweet Meet Up

We are hosting a "Sip and Tweet" event for our members at the Conshohocken Brewery in the Philly suburb of Conshohocken. 

When: June 30th 7:00pm
Details: bloggers will receive a flight of 3 4-ounce beers to sample in exchange for tweeting and instagramming during the event.  We will also be putting in for a few apps for the group to share!

May Instagram Challenge!

Come join us for the May photo challenge on Instagram!

The instagram challenge is a monthly challenge on instagram with a different theme each week.  You can share one or more photos for each week's theme.  You can link up your photo for that theme any day that week.  To link up use the hashtag #nebloggersphoto and be sure to tag us (@nebloggersnetwork) in your challenge photos so we can see what everyone came up with!

April Instragram Challenge!

Come join us for the April photo challenge on Instagram! March's challenge will wrap up with week 5 overlapping into April and that week's theme is: March Madness (March 29 - April 4), interpret it however you want!

The instagram challenge will be a monthly challenge on instagram with a different theme each week.  You can share one or more photos for each week's theme.  You can link up your photo for that theme any day that week.  To link up use the hashtag #nebloggersphoto and be sure to tag us (@nebloggersnetwork) in your challenge photos so we can see what everyone came up with!

Good to know (read through, as we've changed a few things from last month!):

• We will post the themes on the blog and on our instagram the week before the new month so you can prepare! 
• If a week overlaps months, that's ok, there will still be one theme which will run Sun - Sat and will be listed on the first month's challenge graphic.
• For this challenge weeks will run Sunday to Saturday

Introducing... The Northeast Baton!

This summer we are excited to take our instagram account to the next level by incorporating the Northeast Baton!  Not sure what the baton is?  The "baton" is a fun project involving the passing off of the instagram account to our members!  The original baton project was created in Raleigh-Duram and grew in popularity quickly inspiring other baton projects such as the popular Blog Baton and the NYC Baton. 

It is, in short, a photo relay on instagram!

Because our membership covers such a large area, we thought the Northeast Baton would be a great way for our members to show off their towns, big and small, and take a peek into our Northeast lives!  Interested in participating?  Read on to see what to do!

First, of course, be sure to follow Northeast Bloggers on instagram.  

The Northeat Baton will take place once a week to start off, and more often depending on how many members sign up.  When it's your turn you will be sent the log in info for the account so you can "take over" on your scheduled day!  You should post throughout the day, showing off your life and what's awesome about your Northeast town!  Show off your house, dog, work, favorite place to get coffee, outfit- whatever you want!

Posting Guidelines:

• Follow Northeast Bloggers on instagram
• Post throughout the day, 5-10 photos is a good amount, no more than 10 please.
• Be sure to introduce yourself, but please limit your selfies to 1 or 2!
• Sign your photos with your instagram name so everyone knows who to follow after it's your turn! (example: Photo by @rach_b123)
• Post only your own original photos and do not repost (regram) from your own account.
• Do not follow or unfollow anyone from the Northeast Bloggers account, except yourself, and do not change the password or any of the settings on the account.
• Do not post any nudity or other inappropriate content.
• Feel free to tag any restaurants, bars or shops you show off so others can check them out!
• And don't forget to promote on your own social media that you will be holding the Northeast Baton on your scheduled day! 
• Northeast Bloggers reserves the right to remove any photos that do not follow these guidelines.

The Baltimore Baton!

Today's post comes from our Northeast Blogger, Megan, who is sharing a special announcement with us today!

Hi friends!

I am very excited to announce that I am launching The Baltimore Baton on Instagram!

You’ve probably heard of or participated in The Blog Baton. Mason was inspired by the Raleigh Durham baton account and started The Blog Baton which I’ve participated in and LOVED.

If you haven’t heard of the concept of “passing the baton” it’s when an Instagram account and different people log on each day to post photos. The idea behind The Baltimore Baton is to show people who do not live here what they can do when visiting besides the typical tourist spots. It is also a way for locals to find new things to do or to “meet people” with similar interests. Check out @RDUBaton, @ilovetexasphoto and @NYCbaton on Instagram to see the concept in action!

How can you be a part of this? Sign up for a day! Most of the accounts above have locals “hold the baton” each day of the week. Since TBB is brand new I would like to have one person posting from the account each Saturday/or Sunday from Memorial Day to Labor Day. If you live or work in the Baltimore area feel free to email with which weekend you’d like to hold the baton and we can get you on the schedule!
